I have been learning a lot about GRACE. Loving the people who are hard to love and not trying to fix them, just showing them GRACE. I love this by Gandhi: “An eye for an eye will only make the whole world blind.” I love this by Jesus even more: “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the pank in your own eye?” Matthew 7:3 Great thoughts for a beautiful weekend…….
WOW!!! I needed to read this today…..
So often when people make mistakes, they get down on themselves and think, “If only…” “I should have…” “What if…?” It’s easy to feel like you’ve missed the best plan for your life. That’s when people get discouraged and stop pursuing their God-given dreams. But understand today, just because you’ve made a mistake or failed in some way doesn’t cancel God’s plan. God never disqualifies you. He never says, “Go sit on the sidelines. You’ve blown it too many times. You’ve got too many weaknesses.” No, God always gives you another chance!
Some of the great people in the Bible made very poor choices. The apostle Paul started off as a murderer, yet his destiny was bigger than his mistakes. He ended up becoming a great leader and writing over half of the New Testament.
What am I saying? Our mistakes, our failures, our poor choices don’t have to keep us from our God-given destiny. With God, it’s not about the way you start in life, it’s about the way you finish. Receive His grace today and embrace the bright future He has in store for you! Joel Osteen
I have a friend who has written a book where he encourages people to pray boldy. Recently, this friend was tested through this 7 year old daughter. His daughter, while playing in the nearby woods, got a serious case of Poison Ivy. The doctor said that there would be several rough nights while the iching and healing took place.
That evening the 7 year old child said, Dad, you have been telling people to pray boldly so I am going to pray that this Poision Ivy is gone by in the morning. The Dad said, this is a bad case, it may take a little time, etc. However, the little girl’s faith did not waver.
The next morning at 5 AM the Dad and Mom heard a little voice in their bedroom saying, Tah Dah! What do you mean Tah Dah, honey? The little girl was standing there completely healed, not one blemish on her body. Amazing, O’ we of little faith!
We have not because we ask not…… What are you asking for in 2014? Do you have a plan?
Uncommon Resolve is Uncommon!
“The outer conditions of a person’s life will always be found to reflect their inner beliefs”
Many well-intentioned goals, aspirations and dreams die on the vine because the person backing them lacked the resolve to go the distance. To be fair, many obstacles stand in the way of success. The bigger the goal, the bigger the obstacles.
As the quote above suggests, you can’t hide from your own beliefs. What you believe colors every thought you have and every action you take…and the very person you become. Likes and dislikes, other people, career choices and even the food you eat are all a byproduct of your beliefs.
I believe that if your beliefs are working for you then you should be hugely successful, peaceful and content. If that sounds like a pipe dream, then perhaps your beliefs need to be challenged? But when is the last time you examined and challenged the very beliefs you hold dear in life? Typically this only happens when we hit a wall – the conditions created by current beliefs cause a breakdown. In those moments you are open to new beliefs and willing to test drive some.
Socrates made this comment long ago: “the unexamined life is not worth living.” What does it mean to examine a life? I think it is clear that Socrates meant to examine your very beliefs now, before a train wreck forces you to. Really, does it make sense to go through life assuming that all the ideas you digested and assimilate as beliefs are unassailable? That would be leading an unexamined life. Examining your beliefs will lead to new levels of resolve.” Mark Divine, US Navy Seal
The Way of the Seal, by Mark Divine is a great book, I highly recommend it.

Needed to hear this today, hope it blesses you too: ” The ultimate measure of a person is not where they stand in moments of comfort and convenience, but where they stand in times of challenge and controversy.” MLK
In this economic time I hear almost daily people talking about wanting more out of life. I have determined that successful people have one trait in common: personal discipline. They are willing to do what average people are unwilling to do. It’s my personal observation that successful people express their self discipline in six ways: They Master their Moods; They Watch their Words; they Restrain their Reactions; They Stick to their Schedule; They Manage their Money and They Maintain their Health. The disciplines we establish today will determine our success tomorrow. But I think it takes more than just will-power for lasting self control. It takes a POWER greater that ourselves. Think about this promise: For GOD has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love and self discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7 Have a great week! TMW
Many people are paralyzed by fear in this industry. They fear what others think when in reality, others are just thinking about themselves. They fear that if they do the work someone may say something to hurt their feelings, and so on. Let me assure you; the more you do what is uncomfortable the easier it becomes to do that action which will allow you to accomplish your DREAM. In other words, feed your faith and your fear will die. The Navy Seals say it another way; what wolf are you feeding? What you tell yourself is important. Start today by saying out loud, I CAN. I want you to know that I BELIEVE YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH YOUR DREAM!
“When was the last time you declared “I can” out loud? It’s not something people think to do every day. In fact, most people tend to magnify their limitations. They focus on their shortcomings. But scripture makes it plain: all things are possible to those who believe. That’s right! It is possible to see your dreams fulfilled. It is possible to overcome that obstacle. It is possible to climb to new heights. It is possible to embrace your destiny. You may not know how it will all take place. You may not have a plan, but all you have to know is that if God said you can…you can!
Today, why don’t you begin to open yourself up to possibilities in your future by simply declaring this verse, “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength?” At the stoplight, when you’re waiting in line, any time you have a second just quote this verse to yourself again. Let it sink down deeply into your heart. As you do, His word will transform you. Faith will rise up in your heart and will boldly embrace the blessings that He has in store for you! “ Joel Osteen
Have a great week !

Finally, here is a devotional excerpt that I read last week which I think will encourage you: “The scripture tells us that life and death are in the power of the tongue. God Himself spoke the worlds into existence by the creative power of words. Think about that for a moment — you can bless your future with your words, or you can curse it. There are many influences over our words. In the heat of the moment, we can let our emotions tell us what to say. We can listen to what others say and allow their opinions and ideas to influence our words. We can even be influenced by what we watch on TV, the internet or read in the news. But notice what today’s verse tells us that a wise person does — a wise person listens to their heart and lets their heart teach them what to say. As a believer, when you listen to your heart, you are allowing the Spirit of God to influence your words. When you speak from your heart, you are speaking from the heart of God. Today, listen to your heart. Take time to be still and quiet before the Lord. Allow Him to teach you what to say. As you submit your words and ways to Him, He will direct your path and lead you into victory in every area of your life! Joel Osteen
